Episode 8: The Fourth Scroll
From his dream, what does Jin learn?
The night before the school game, Jin has an unusual dream. Guanyin, Anuj, Freddy, Guanyin, and his parents are all present on the Beyond Repair set in the dream. Jin learns that his dream foreshadowed everything that would occur that day. Jin is aware that something negative might occur if he does nothing.
What Occurs at school before the big game?
Jin learns at school that the Autumnal Equinox occurs on that day. We discover that the portal between Heaven and Earth opens during the autumn equinox. The Bull Demon intends to take advantage of the opportunity to destroy Heaven.
Jin ends up ignoring Amelia in class because he is preoccupied with the situation at hand.
How will Anuj, Jin, and Wei-Chen deceive the Bull Demon?
Jin and Wei-Chen collaborate with Jin’s best friend Anuj to devise a plan to entice the Bull Demon and steal the Jingu Bang from him. Hints can be found in the Monkey King comic books. Wei-Chen, Jin, and Anuj discover how the character defeats his opponents after his staff is taken. Following that, they realize that the football game is the ideal setting for Bull Demon’s scheme. Because the Bull Demon is a shape-shifter, they decide to entice him from the audience during the match.
What occurs to the cosplay?
The Wangs discover an unconscious but still-alive Sun Wukong while searching for their misplaced pendant. Mrs. Wang hands him a bottle of herbal extract blessed by Guanyin. Meanwhile, Jin learns that Amelia likes him, fulfilling his desire to be with her.
Who will win the fight?
Jin assumes the identity of the Bull Demon in the play and recounts all of his personal insecurities. The plan succeeds, and Wei-Chen and the Bull engage in a fierce battle in front of the entire school. The audience believes it is a cosplay club performance.
The Bull successfully drives the wand into the floor in order to bring Heaven down with the force of the Earth. Wei-time Chen’s is running out, so Jin steps in.
Jin realizes what he has been ignoring his entire life. Jin, not the pendant, acted as a mediator between the opposing sides of the conflicting parties. Also Jin is revealed to be the final scroll. Jin saves the day with one last act of faith, throwing himself over the gate’s staff. Wukong arrives to save his child, and the two of them vanish into thin air as they leave the field.
Is there a happy ending to the season?
Wei-Chen appears after the game, just as Jin is about to leave. He explains that he came to say goodbye to Jin. He also expresses his heartfelt gratitude to him for saving his entire world. They part ways with a hug and the promise of soon reuniting.
Soon after, we learn that the Iron Princess has kidnapped Jin’s parents. She tells Jin that he must accompany her if he wants to find them again.
